From April 13 to April 17, 2025, TWGHs Li Ka Shing College organized a Mathematics Exchange Tour to Beijing Sister School, Fangshan Middle School. This tour aimed to enhance mathematical skills and foster cultural exchange among students. The delegation included 30 students from grades 8 to 10 and 7 mathematics teachers.

Arrival and Welcome (April 13):

The delegation arrived in Beijing and was warmly welcomed by Fangshan Middle School representatives. They were transported to the school and settled into their accommodations.

Fangshan Middle School Visit and Mathematics Workshop (April 14):

The day began with a welcome ceremony, followed by a campus tour, including the school’s history museum. Students participated in an interactive mathematics lesson, engaging in problem-solving activities and collaborative projects with their Beijing counterparts. They also participated in some sports activities in a Physical Education lesson. Mathematics teachers from both schools held a discussion session, sharing teaching methodologies and best practices.

School Visit and Sightseeing (April 15):

The delegation visited the Second High School Attached to Beijing Normal University, where they attended Chinese, Martial Arts and Calligraphy lessons held by the local teachers. In the afternoon, they climbed on the Juyongguan Great Wall, enjoying the beautiful scenery from the peak view.

Cultural Experience and Sightseeing (April 16):

In the morning, the delegation explored in the China Science and Technology Museum, learning about ancient Chinese mathematical achievements and modern technological advancements. In the afternoon, they toured to the Forbidden City, providing insights into Chinese history and culture. The day concluded with free time at the famous Wangfujing Street, allowing students to explore Beijing culture independently.

Departure (April 17):

The delegation departed from Beijing Capital International Airport, returning to Hong Kong.
